Ria Atayde joyfully announced that she is expecting her first child with husband Zanjoe Marudo. The actress shared the exciting news on Instagram on Sunday while wishing Zanjoe a happy Father’s Day.
Alongside the announcement, Ria posted a beach photo showcasing her growing baby bump. “To the dad you already are and the dad I know you’ll be. Love you @onlyzanjoemarudo, so excited for this new chapter with you,” Ria wrote in the caption.
Fellow celebrities flooded the comments section with congratulations for the soon-to-be parents. Kapuso actor Jason Abalos commented, “Happy [father’s] day Z, congratulations.”
Ria and Zanjoe tied the knot in a civil ceremony on March 23, coinciding with Ria’s 32nd birthday. The couple announced their engagement in February and confirmed their relationship in January last year.
