Actress and singer Rita Daniela has filed an act of lasciviousness complaint against actor Archie Alemania, alleging he made unwanted advances and inappropriate remarks toward her. The complaint was filed with the Office of the City Prosecutor in Bacoor City, and details an incident that reportedly took place after a Thanksgiving party in September.
In her affidavit, Daniela claimed that Alemania kissed her and touched her without her consent and made several inappropriate remarks throughout the evening. She explained that as a public figure, it was challenging to come forward but that the emotional distress from the incident compelled her to take action.
According to her lawyer, Atty. Maggie Abraham-Garduque, Alemania’s behavior initially made Daniela uncomfortable at the party, but she refrained from confrontation, assuming he was joking due to intoxication. Later, while waiting for a ride home, Daniela said Alemania approached her in his van, offering a lift which she accepted, believing he was sober.
During the ride, Daniela alleged that Alemania touched her shoulder and neck, ignoring her requests to stop. Upon reaching her residence, she claimed Alemania restrained her, forcibly kissed her, and attempted further advances before she managed to break free. Screenshots of messages included in the complaint showed Daniela confronting Alemania afterward, to which he reportedly apologized, attributing his behavior to being intoxicated.
As of this report, Alemania has not publicly responded to the allegations.
