TV host Robi Domingo marked his 35th birthday with a heartfelt reflection, expressing his deepest wish for his wife Maiqui Pineda’s healing. Pineda, diagnosed with dermatomyositis—a rare autoimmune disease—has been battling the condition since 2023. In an emotional Instagram post, Domingo shared how this diagnosis disrupted their plans of starting a family, but he remains hopeful for brighter days.
“My plan in the next five years is to be a better husband, and hopefully next year, if her condition and doctors allow, I hope to introduce you to baby Robi or baby Maiqui—maybe even twins,” he said.
Domingo opened up about their initial hopes to have a child by this year but acknowledged that the timing wasn’t right. He emphasized that his birthday wish is no longer for himself, but for his wife’s recovery so they can pursue their dream of parenthood.
Domingo and Pineda got married in January 2024, after getting engaged in 2022.
