Kapuso couple Rochelle Pangilinan and Arthur Solinap got real about dealing with jealousy in their relationship during an interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.”
Arthur admitted that Rochelle used to get particularly jealous of his female co-stars, especially those known for their beauty and sex appeal.
“Basta ‘pag may show ako, kung sino ‘yung cast na babae, automatic pagseselosan. Usually. Lalo na ‘pag sexy, maganda,” Arthur shared, recalling past moments.
He even avoided taking photos with some co-stars to avoid issues. When asked which actress caused Rochelle’s most intense reaction, she humorously named Pauleen Luna, citing a project where Arthur had a kissing scene with her.
“Mali ko kasi hindi ko sinasabi na may kissing scene,” Arthur admitted, to which Rochelle responded, “Ako, hindi puwede. Ikaw, puwede?”
Mutual Jealousy
Arthur wasn’t the only one navigating jealousy. Rochelle confessed she also felt uneasy about Janna Dominguez, Arthur’s co-star in Pepito Manaloto.
“Kasama sa show ta’s maganda, sexy, automatic [magseselos],” Arthur said, with Rochelle adding playfully, “Tsaka maputi… Laging katabi sa picture, laging kasama sa eksena, tapos laging niloloko pa sa set.”
On the flip side, Arthur revealed he once felt jealous of Rochelle’s on-screen partner Victor Aliwalas during her Daisy Siete days.
“Love team siya. Siya ‘yung next ko. After ko, siya eh naging partner mo, so parang nagselos ako konti,” he admitted.
Staying Together Through It All
When asked what could make them walk away from each other, Rochelle said, “Kapag hindi na niya ako mahal.”
Arthur, however, took a different perspective. “Hindi ko masasabi kasi para sa ‘kin, nung nag-join kami together sa marriage, parang ‘yun na ‘yon eh. Kung ano man ‘yung pagsubok, dapat hindi.”
Love and Family
Rochelle and Arthur, who tied the knot in 2017, are proud parents to their daughter Shiloh, born in 2019. Rochelle currently stars in “Pulang Araw,” while Arthur appears in “Widows’ War” and “Pepito Manaloto.”
