Despite facing challenges in her marriage, actress-comedian Rufa Mae Quinto says she has no regrets about marrying Trevor Magallanes, describing him as “still the best” despite their current marital struggles.

Opening Up About Their Marriage

In an interview with showbiz reporter Ogie Diaz on his YouTube channel, Quinto reflected on her relationship with Magallanes and their shared commitment to their daughter, Athena.

Tatanggapin ko kung ayaw na [niya], rerespetuhin ko ‘yon,” Quinto said, referring to the possibility of her husband filing for divorce. “Pero ‘yung next action, syempre, ‘yung anak namin. Malay mo, baka maayos.

At 45, Quinto admitted she isn’t interested in finding another partner. “Siya na ‘yung huli for me. Pero kung ayaw na niya, kailangan kong tanggapin,” she shared.

Communication Focused on Co-Parenting

Quinto revealed that her communication with Magallanes is limited and revolves solely around matters concerning their daughter. While Magallanes has yet to file for divorce, Quinto admitted she is uncertain how she would feel if he officially ended their marriage.

When asked if she would have avoided marrying Magallanes if she could turn back time, Quinto firmly answered, “Hindi, wala akong pinagsisisihan. He’s still the best.” She acknowledged that their relationship is imperfect but expressed gratitude for Magallanes’ kindness toward their daughter.

Strains in the Relationship

Quinto attributed part of their falling-out to her busy schedule, which may have affected their connection. However, she expressed hope that things could still be resolved.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2016 in the Philippines, welcomed their daughter in 2017. They have since been based in the United States, where Quinto continues to balance her career and family life.

Despite the challenges, Quinto maintains a positive outlook and prioritizes the well-being of her daughter, Athena, as she navigates this chapter in her life.
