Ruffa Gutierrez shared an emotional moment as her youngest daughter, Venice Bektas, embarks on a new chapter by starting university in the United States. The actress and former beauty queen posted touching photos on Instagram, showing Venice moving into her dorm and their heartfelt hug at the airport.
In her caption, Ruffa expressed her mixed feelings, saying, “Saying goodbye is sooo difficult! I’ve been ugly crying for an hour now, but I know that you will be chasing your dreams while forging new friendships.” She also offered advice to Venice, encouraging her to be a good girl, study hard, and always pray.
Ruffa included a special message for her eldest daughter, Lorin, asking her to visit Venice whenever she can. Lorin is currently studying at Pepperdine University in California, while Venice will be attending school in Texas.
Ruffa, who has been a single mother since her annulment from Turkish businessman Yilmaz Bektas in 2007, is now in a relationship with actor-politician Herbert Bautista. She continues to value education, having earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts from the Philippine Women’s University in 2022 and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in the same field.
