Ruru Madrid is immensely grateful for the positive impact his character in the action-drama series “Black Rider” has had on the younger generation. Playing delivery rider turned action hero Elias Guerrero, Ruru has become a role model for many children.

In a media conference for the show’s finale week, the Kapuso Primetime Action Hero expressed his gratitude for the inspiration his character provides to kids. “It warms my heart every time parents send me videos of their children imitating my acting, dressing like me, and mimicking my fight scenes,” Ruru shared.

“This is something that no amount of money can buy because it’s my goal every time I do shows like this,” he added.

Ruru emphasized that while his primary aim is to entertain, he also strives to leave a lasting impression. “I want to always leave a mark, and that’s the inspiration I want to share,” he said.

Reflecting on his journey, Ruru recalled how he once looked up to his idols and dreamed of being in their shoes. “Now, being where my idols were, it’s incredibly fulfilling because this has been my dream since I was a kid,” he said.

Ruru is currently living his dream and is thankful to the entire “Black Rider” team for trusting him with the project. In the series, Elias Guerrero fights for justice for his family and community, while addressing themes of social class and the power dynamics between the rich and the poor.

“Black Rider” is among the seven GMA programs that won an award at the New York Festivals this year, earning a Bronze medal. Ruru dedicated the win to unsung heroes.

The series features a star-studded cast, including Yassi Pressman, Jon Lucas, Raymond Bagatsing, Rio Locsin, Herlene Budol, Empoy, and South Korean actor Kim Ji Soon, with guest appearances from Michelle Dee, Angeli Khang, Isko Moreno, Joaquin Domagoso, and more.
