Sandara Park, the beloved K-pop icon, has expressed her eagerness to dive into acting projects in the Philippines, specifically highlighting her desire to star alongside Coco Martin in a film. During her recent visit to the Philippines, Park shared her aspirations in an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN, revealing her admiration for Martin’s work and her dream of him being her leading man.

“I really love his movies. I’ve watched all of his movies, especially the romantic comedies. So, I hope he becomes my leading man in the future,” Park stated, her enthusiasm unmistakable. This revelation came after a brand advertisement meeting with Martin, actress Maris Racal, and rapper Shanti Dope, where Martin himself expressed interest in collaborating with Park.

In addition to her film aspirations, Park also touched on the possibility of a 2NE1 reunion concert with fellow members CL, Minzy, and Bom, indicating that while there are no concrete plans, she remains hopeful for a reunion when the time is right.

Sandara Park’s connection to the Philippines runs deep, having first risen to fame through “Star Circle Quest” in 2004 before her groundbreaking debut with 2NE1 in 2009. Despite the group’s official disbandment in 2016, Park’s affection for the Philippines and its entertainment industry remains strong, as evidenced by her recent activities and future project wishes in the country.

Her comments have sparked excitement among fans, eagerly anticipating the potential of seeing Park and Martin together on the big screen and holding out hope for a 2NE1 reunion.
