Actor Sandro Muhlach, along with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), filed a complaint on Monday against two independent contractors of GMA Network for alleged rape through sexual assault. The complaint was filed at the Department of Justice (DOJ) in Manila, where Muhlach, accompanied by his father, Niño Muhlach, personally swore before prosecutors.
Muhlach’s lawyer, Atty. Czarina Raz, expressed confidence in the case, citing strong evidence against the accused. Muhlach himself stated that he believes the truth will come out.
The accused contractors, Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz, previously attended a Senate inquiry where they denied the allegations and urged the public not to prejudge them. Following the filing of the complaint, GMA Network suspended the two contractors and launched an internal investigation.
Niño Muhlach expressed relief that the complaint had been filed, noting the emotional toll the situation has taken on his son.
