Pastor Apollo Quiboloy remains elusive as two of his personal assistants surrendered to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI-Region 11) in connection with child abuse charges. Jackielyn Roy and Ingrid Canada, who are among those implicated alongside Quiboloy, turned themselves in and underwent booking procedures before facing court.
The case involves violations of the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act, with Cresente Canada, Paulene Canada, and Sylvia Cemañes also named as respondents. Cresente Canada was arrested prior to the surrender of the others, who have since been released on bail.
Efforts to apprehend Quiboloy, the head of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ church, intensified as NBI and Police Regional Office-Davao (PRO-11) personnel visited the church’s compound in Davao City but found him absent. Only the church’s administrator received the warrant issued for Quiboloy.
The ongoing search for Quiboloy is complicated by his non-appearance at Senate hearings addressing abuse allegations by former church members. Quiboloy has consistently denied all charges against him. The legal proceedings and investigations continue to unfold as authorities seek to locate and arrest the controversial religious leader.
