House Speaker Martin Romualdez reaffirmed the House of Representatives’ commitment to advancing anti-crime and pro-people legislation on Thursday. He emphasized the importance of addressing criminal activities, particularly through ongoing investigations into drug war deaths from the Duterte administration and crimes linked to Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs).

Romualdez stressed the need to uphold the rule of law and ensure public safety, declaring, “Criminals have no place in our society.” He also highlighted that the House has already approved 60 out of the 64 priority measures of the administration, with 20 of these signed into law, including the Magna Carta of Filipino Seafarers.

Looking ahead, Romualdez expressed confidence that the House will achieve its legislative goals by December 2024, six months ahead of schedule, underscoring their commitment to economic growth and public service.
