The Philippine entertainment industry is in mourning following the death of veteran actor and director Ricky Davao, who passed away from cancer at the age of 63 on May 1. Known for his warmth and professionalism, Ricky was remembered fondly by fellow celebrities who shared their tributes online.

Vilma Santos expressed her sorrow on Instagram, calling Ricky “Pare ko” and thanking him for his contributions. Zsa Zsa Padilla recalled their close friendship, saying Ricky was “everyone’s buddy” and reminiscing about their time together in the TV series Familia Zaragoza and the stage play Ang Larawan.

Actor Albert Martinez posted memories from their past interviews and events, saying he would deeply miss his friend. Ice Seguerra, who visited Ricky in the hospital, shared a touching story about their last conversation, recalling Ricky’s smile when told he could eat chocolate again.
