The Philippine weather agency has warned that the period from Sunday through Monday morning will be the most critical window of impact from Typhoon Uwan for northern and central Luzon.
The system is rapidly intensifying and expected to make landfall near its peak strength during this timeframe, increasing the risk of severe winds, torrential rainfall, coastal storm surge and flooding.
Residents and local governments are urged to finalise preparations immediately — secure outdoor items, complete evacuations of high‑risk zones, avoid travel during the peak hours and stay tuned to the latest advisories.
