Some suspects involved in the fatal shooting of an online seller couple in Mexico, Pampanga, are currently under police custody, the Philippine National Police (PNP) confirmed on Tuesday. Surveillance footage captured two individuals on a motorcycle trailing the couple’s vehicle before the shooting incident occurred in Barangay Sto. Rosario. The couple, who were traveling with their child and another young relative, were targeted by the assailants in a brutal attack

In a press briefing, PNP spokesperson Police Brigadier General Jean Fajardo stated that the suspects will be presented to the media following their inquest proceedings. She mentioned that these suspects, part of a riding-in-tandem, were identified by witnesses, as they were not wearing face coverings.

Authorities have also identified a mastermind behind the attack, revealing that a significant debt owed to the victims was the likely motive. The victims, Arvin and Lerma Lulu, were fatally shot on October 4, with Arvin sustaining six gunshot wounds and Lerma three.
