The Dallas Mavericks have locked in a private workout with standout NBA draft prospect Cooper Flagg on June 17, according to a report from ESPN.

Holding the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming June 25 draft, the Mavericks reportedly plan to evaluate no other players, signaling their clear intention to select Flagg first overall.

Dallas secured the top pick in a surprise lottery outcome last month, overcoming long odds with just a 1.8% chance of winning. The Mavericks’ jump to No. 1 marked one of the biggest leaps in lottery history.

Flagg, a 6’9″ forward from Duke, had an exceptional freshman year, earning both the Naismith and Wooden Awards. He averaged 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game while shooting 48.1% from the field, helping the Blue Devils finish with a 35-4 record. The Maine native is widely considered the consensus top prospect in the draft class.
