The Miss Universe Philippines – Pampanga 2025 competition has officially introduced its lineup of 16 candidates, all vying for the chance to represent Pampanga on the national stage. Among these remarkable contenders is Keylyn Trajano, a trailblazing transgender woman from Siñura, Municipality of Porac.
In a historic moment, Trajano brings her Kapampangan pride to the forefront, marking a significant milestone for inclusivity in the pageant. She is celebrated as a successful model, entrepreneur, and advocate for diversity, empowerment, and acceptance.
“Keylyn Trajano, proudly representing her Kapampangan roots, makes history as the first trans woman to compete in Miss Universe Pampanga 2025,” stated MUPH – Pampanga in a post on social media.
While further details about the 2025 pageant remain under wraps, Trajano’s participation mirrors the growing representation of transgender women in global beauty competitions. Spain’s Angela Ponce broke barriers as the first transgender contestant in Miss Universe in 2018. More recently, Rikkie Valerie Kollé of the Netherlands and Marina Machete of Portugal joined the ranks in 2023.
