Two persons of interest have been identified in the investigation into the bombing at Mindanao State University (MSU) in Marawi City, Lanao del Sur, on November 29, 2023.

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Western Mindanao Command (Westmincom) said that the two persons of interest are suspected of involvement in the planning and execution of the bombing, which killed six people and injured dozens more.

Westmincom said that the identities of the two persons of interest are being withheld for security reasons. However, they said that the two suspects are known to be members of a local extremist group.

The AFP has also released a composite sketch of one of the suspects. The sketch is based on eyewitness accounts.

The bombing at MSU is the deadliest attack in the Philippines in recent months. The attack has been condemned by the Philippine government and the international community.

The AFP is continuing its investigation into the bombing. They are appealing to the public to come forward with any information that could help identify and apprehend the suspects.
