Vice Ganda was the first to learn about Ryan Bang’s plan to propose to Paola Huyong, which brought the popular host to tears.

During Saturday’s episode of “It’s Showtime,” Vice Ganda became emotional when Ryan approached her for a hug.

“Even yesterday, before he went there, we were already crying together. I’m just so proud,” Vice said. “We hugged for a long time, crying. When we let go, I asked, ‘What will my gown be?’ I am so proud of him and always tell him every day, ‘You look more handsome every day!’”

Vice was deeply touched that Ryan shared his proposal plan with her first.

“It’s touching because I was the first person he told. He said, ‘I didn’t tell anyone else, not even my parents. I asked your permission first,’” Vice recalled. “I wasn’t worried at all. I knew Paola would say yes. No one can say no to Ryan because he is such a wonderful person. Both he and Paola are very lucky to have each other.”

Ryan expressed his gratitude to Vice, saying, “Mommy, thank you. You allowed me to propose to Paola, and thank you for raising me to be a good person. Thank you so much. I love you.”

Ryan proposed to Paola at a café in Quezon City. He publicly shared his relationship with Paola in 2023, calling her “The One” and “my forever Filipina.”

Recently, Paola’s family met Ryan’s parents in South Korea.

In addition to hosting “It’s Showtime,” Ryan also hosted the Asia Artist Awards in 2023 and Kim Seon Ho’s fan meeting last April. He appeared in an episode of “Bubble Gang” as well.

“It’s Showtime” made an epic debut on GMA-7 on April 6 and has had several trending moments. The noontime show is also aired on GMA Network’s GTV.
