Celebrity doctor Vicki Belo turned emotional as she addressed online comments about the appearance of her breasts, urging the public to be more compassionate—especially as a breast cancer survivor.
In an Instagram reel, Belo shared screenshots of remarks criticizing her “uneven” breasts and explained the medical background behind them. “People might think my breasts were done at Belo and ended up uneven. That’s not true,” she clarified.
Belo revealed that in 2016, she was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer. She underwent surgery in New York, where a 5×7 cm tumor was removed from her left breast. “They inserted something—I don’t even know exactly what. My doctor said it was tissue, not silicone, and it’s harder than expected,” she explained. The removal of three lymph nodes also left a noticeable indent in her armpit area.
She stressed that her condition is a result of surviving a life-threatening illness, not cosmetic procedures. “Please be kind. I’m a cancer survivor,” she said, her voice breaking with emotion. “I love clothes, I love sleeveless outfits, and I still wear them. I hope you understand.”
In 2023, Belo celebrated seven years of being cancer-free in a heartfelt post, expressing gratitude and newfound openness about her journey.
At 69, Belo remains a prominent figure in the beauty industry, known for her expertise in skincare and for serving high-profile clients. She’s married to Hayden Kho, and together they have a daughter, Scarlet Snow.
