A Pasay City court has issued an arrest warrant for vlogger Toni Fowler, as reported by Super Radyo dzBB. The warrant was issued by the Pasay Regional Trial Court-Branch 108 and is related to Fowler’s alleged violation of Article 201 of the Revised Penal Code in conjunction with Section 6 of the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 (Republic Act 10175). The court has set a bail amount of PHP 120,000 for her provisional release.
The case against Toni Fowler originated from a complaint lodged in September 2023 by the Kapisanan ng Social Media Broadcasters ng Pilipinas (KSMBP), which accused her of producing “obscene” music videos. According to the KSMBP, Fowler’s music videos allegedly breached standards of freedom of expression due to their supposedly indecent lyrics and scenes.
Efforts are currently underway by GMA News Online to gather comments from Toni Fowler regarding the situation. In a separate report by Nimfa Ravelo, it was mentioned that Toni Fowler has already posted bail at around 4:30 pm.
