In a recent Pulse Asia survey conducted between December 3 and 7, 2023, Vice President Sara Duterte has emerged as the top-ranking official in the Philippines in terms of approval and trust ratings. She achieved an approval rating of 74% and a trust rating of 78%, marking a slight increase from her previous ratings in September 2023. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. followed closely, securing 68% in approval and 73% in trust ratings, which also showed an increase from the previous quarter.

The survey highlighted the stability of the performance scores of the country’s leading government officials from September to December 2023, with noticeable variations across different geographic and socio-economic groups. Notably, both the President and Vice President received majority approval scores in all areas and social classes.

In contrast, Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri received 51% in trust and 49% in approval ratings, with a mixed response across different regions and social classes. Meanwhile, House Speaker Martin Romualdez recorded the lowest among the top officials, with 39% in approval and 40% in trust ratings. A significant portion of the population expressed ambivalence regarding Romualdez’s trustworthiness​​​​​​.
