On Sunday, a whale was found beached along the coast of Barangay Bato in Panukulan, Quezon, but sadly, it passed away by Monday. The event captured the attention of locals due to the whale’s extraordinary size, quickly becoming a point of interest in the area. Despite efforts by residents to guide the whale back to deeper waters, it repeatedly returned to the shore.
The demise of the whale was confirmed around 1:30 p.m. on Monday. Local officials in Panukulan are set to meet this afternoon to discuss arrangements for the burial of the whale. They also plan to collect tissue samples from the whale to determine the cause of its death.
