Actress-comedian Rufa Mae Quinto expressed heartfelt gratitude to Willie Revillame, who extended financial help by giving her P1 million during her ongoing legal battle linked to an alleged investment scam involving a skincare company she endorsed.

A Gesture of Kindness
Quinto shared her appreciation during a guest appearance on Revillame’s TV show Wil to Win on January 13. “Thank you for giving me help, help, hooray!” she exclaimed to the studio audience.

She recounted how Revillame offered assistance after they ran into each other at a restaurant following her release from National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) custody. Quinto had surrendered voluntarily to the NBI on January 8, facing 14 counts of violating Section 8 of the Securities Regulation Code. She was released on January 9 after posting bail worth P1.7 million.

Willie’s Generosity
Quinto revealed Revillame’s immediate willingness to help. “He told me, ‘Here’s P1 million now.’ I even told him to think about it first, but he insisted, saying he felt bad for everything I’ve gone through.”

Finding Positivity Amid Challenges
Quinto used her appearance to thank Revillame and reassure the public that she is coping well. True to her comedic nature, she joked about her NBI surrender: “The NBI didn’t let me escape—no escaping allowed!” she quipped.

“I wasn’t imprisoned because I posted bail. Now it’s all about positivity. What matters is that Willie gave me cash to start over again,” she added.

Maintaining Innocence
Quinto has denied any wrongdoing, with her lawyer claiming she is also a victim, as the skincare company involved in the controversy has yet to pay her endorsement fees.
