Yassi Pressman recently had a heartwarming encounter in Cebu when she met a young girl named after her, prompting the actress to offer to cover the child’s schooling for an entire year.

The moment was captured in a video Pressman shared on Instagram on January 28, showing her visit to Cebu’s Carbon Market. While having a photo shoot in front of a dried goods store, a woman approached and told Yassi she had named her daughter after the actress.

“Pinangalan mo sa akin?” Yassi asked, surprised. When the mother confirmed, Pressman excitedly responded, “Really? Naghahanap ako ng Baby Yassi!”

The mother then fetched her daughter and even brought her educational certificate to prove her name. Pressman warmly hugged the child and chatted with the mother about her daughter’s studies. Upon learning that the girl was in first grade, Yassi generously offered to pay for her second-grade schooling. “Grade 1 [siya], very good! Sige, sagot ko na ‘yung Grade 2 niya,” she told the thrilled mother.

Before parting ways, they took photos together, and Yassi made sure the mother had contact details for her team to arrange the support.

“Unexpected special moments are simply the best. Salamat Carbon Market, kay mommy at Baby Yassi for making our Cebu trip extra memorable,” she wrote in the caption.

Yassi also shared that she’s on a mission to meet more children named after her, saying, “My goal is to meet you all.”
