Three police officers in Davao Oriental have tested positive for illegal drugs following a surprise drug test, according to the Police Regional Office-Davao (PRO-11).
The officers—holding the ranks of staff sergeant, corporal, and patrolman—are assigned to the Provincial Intelligence Unit and the Provincial Mobile Force Company. All three have been placed under restrictive custody and may face administrative charges pending further investigation.
The random drug test was conducted as part of PRO-11’s internal cleansing efforts aimed at maintaining a drug-free police force.
“This is a reminder that internal cleansing is a shared responsibility,” PRO-11 said in a statement. “Our mission isn’t just to catch violations but also to guide our personnel toward better conduct. We are committed to upholding the highest standards while supporting growth within the organization.”
