Six employees were injured when a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tank exploded at a Korean restaurant in Davao City on Friday evening.

According to authorities, the victims were immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment. As of this report, they are out of danger and in stable condition.

Initial Investigation Points to LPG Leak
Preliminary findings suggest that the explosion was caused by a leak in the LPG tank located in the restaurant’s kitchen. The sudden release of gas likely led to the blast, which caused significant damage to the establishment.

The estimated damage from the explosion is pegged at ₱360,000.

Local authorities continue to investigate the incident to determine any possible violations of safety protocols and to ensure that preventive measures are reinforced to avoid similar accidents in the future.
