A 71-year-old Filipino man tragically lost his life in a car accident in Milan, Italy, over the weekend, according to the Philippine Consulate General in Milan.
In a Facebook post, the Consulate reported that the victim’s vehicle struck a pole in front of their office on Saturday morning. Despite efforts to save him, the man succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
The Consulate did not clarify whether the victim was en route to their office at the time of the accident.
Expressing sympathy, the Consulate extended its condolences to the victim’s family and requested prayers for his eternal repose. The identity of the deceased has not been disclosed.
