Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa expressed contentment after his meeting with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., following the latter’s announcement of potentially rejoining the International Criminal Court (ICC). Dela Rosa, who led the controversial Philippine drug war during Duterte’s administration, chose not to divulge details of their conversation, citing it as privileged communication.
The meeting, described as a social gathering by Senator Imee Marcos, took place in Malacañang and included other senators and their spouses. Dela Rosa’s cheerful demeanor, captured in a photo with President Marcos and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, was evident on his official Facebook page. He attributed his happiness to the positive interaction at the dinner, which he attended upon the President’s invitation.
