In an emotional interview on “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda,” AiAi delas Alas opened up about her past efforts with ex-husband Gerald Sibayan to conceive a child through in vitro fertilization (IVF). The Comedy Queen confirmed their separation and shared how the couple’s IVF journey, while deeply meaningful, also brought its share of heartbreak.

“I really tried my best… even though my eggs were weak, we tried IVF,” AiAi revealed, noting that they initially had three embryos but sadly lost two. Reflecting on their last remaining embryo, whom she affectionately referred to as “Gold,” AiAi explained her desire to surprise Gerald with another attempt at parenthood. “I told him we still have one left, that’s also your child. But it seemed he wasn’t open to trying again,” she said.

Gerald reportedly expressed feeling hurt by the loss of the two embryos, and AiAi mentioned that his wish for children ultimately contributed to their decision to separate. Now at 60, AiAi acknowledged that she could no longer conceive naturally.

Addressing rumors, AiAi clarified she has no plans to revoke Gerald’s green card, which she petitioned for after their marriage in 2017. The two renewed their wedding vows in Las Vegas in 2022 and marked their 10-year anniversary in April.
