Actor and host Alden Richards called out Cathay Pacific on Instagram after discovering that his bike frame was damaged during his flight back to the Philippines.
Sharing a photo of the fractured frame, Alden wrote, “Shoutout to [Cathay Pacific] for fracturing my bike frame and unloading my bike box and bike rack on my way home to the Philippines.” He added, “This is very upsetting!”
The actor, known as Asia’s Multimedia Star, has recently taken up cycling more seriously. Just last month, he completed a 61-kilometer ride.
Fellow Kapuso actor and biking enthusiast Kristoffer Martin also reshared Alden’s post, showing support.
Cathay Pacific responded by acknowledging the complaint and confirmed that an investigation is underway. The airline has yet to issue an official statement.
Aside from cycling, Alden is busy hosting “Stars on the Floor” and is preparing for his directorial debut in the upcoming film “Out of Order,” which he stars in alongside Nonie Buencamino and Heaven Peralejo.
