Alan Dennis Lim Sytin, the alleged mastermind behind the 2018 murder of businessman Dominic Sytin, has been extradited to the Philippines from Malaysia. He arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport late Friday night and was presented to the media by the Philippine National Police.
Speaking briefly upon arrival, Alan Dennis said he looks forward to clearing his name in court.
“All I want is a fair trial and for both sides of the story to be heard,” he said.
Dominic Sytin, founder of United Auctioneers Inc., was shot dead outside a hotel in the Subic Bay Freeport Zone on November 28, 2018. Convicted gunman Edgardo Luib had confessed that Alan Dennis Sytin orchestrated the killing.
Alan Dennis was arrested in Malaysia on March 22 with the assistance of the Royal Malaysia Police. On the same day, a second suspect, Edrian Rementilla—also known by aliases Ryan Rementilla and Oliver Fuentes—was captured in Iligan City.
The arrest brings a major development in a case that has spanned over six years and involved a P10 million reward for information.
