Two construction workers were injured and rushed to the hospital after a scaffolding collapse at a mall construction site in Sta. Rosa, Laguna on Sunday morning.

Initial police reports indicate that the workers were in the middle of pouring concrete on the second floor of the building when the scaffolding suddenly gave way around 10:30 a.m.

The victims were trapped beneath concrete and construction debris. Emergency responders from the Sta. Rosa Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, and the Philippine National Police worked together to rescue the men and bring them to a nearby hospital.

As of this report, the hospital has not released an update on their condition. Authorities are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the incident.
