After three years of silence, Ashley Ortega and her mother are finally on the road to healing.
During Saturday’s episode of Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition, Big Brother handed Ashley a letter from her mom—bringing the young actress to tears the moment she began reading.
“I forgave you a long time ago. I’ve been waiting for you. Remember, I love you all—my children—so much,” her mother wrote. “Everything I do, even my strictness and protectiveness, is for you. Take care and keep praying.”
Visibly emotional, Ashley said she’s grateful that her mother is watching and no longer angry. “I really hope we see each other after I leave the house. But I’m thankful she’s not mad at me anymore,” she shared.
Ashley had earlier revealed that they hadn’t spoken for years after she left home without a word, despite their seemingly good relationship. “I left without saying anything… that’s something I regret,” she admitted.
Following the touching moment, Ashley and her partner AC Bonifacio were evicted from the PBB house. Meanwhile, beauty queen and fellow Sparkle talent Michelle Dee entered as a guest housemate.
