Former Senator Bam Aquino made a strong pitch for unity during a campaign rally in Bacolod City, emphasizing that Filipinos share a common goal of a better future despite political differences.
“The past week has been intense, and it seems like our country is being divided again. But we must remind ourselves that, despite our differences, we still have shared values,” Aquino told supporters.
Without specifying details, Aquino highlighted the need for honest governance and public officials who serve with integrity, adding that an accountable government leads to progress for all.
He urged his supporters to reach out beyond their usual circles and engage with those who may not yet be convinced to support his and former Senator Kiko Pangilinan’s campaign.
“Truth and justice are important, but so is remembering that we are all Filipinos. We must reach out to everyone, not just those who stood with us in 2022,” he said.
Aquino reaffirmed his commitment to serve all Filipinos, echoing the inclusive leadership vision of former Vice President Leni Robredo, who has endorsed his senatorial bid.
