Authorities in Taguig City are searching for a motorcycle-riding suspect who robbed and intimidated a 12-year-old boy in Barangay Calzada early Wednesday morning.

Incident Details

According to a CCTV recording, the boy was walking to pick up a classmate around 6 a.m. when the suspect approached him, asked about certain people, and coerced him into getting on the motorcycle. The rider later stopped on another street, took the boy’s cellphone, and left after threatening to shoot him if he called for help.

The victim later discovered that the suspect, who identified himself as “Jayson from Romantic”, had messaged someone using his stolen phone.

The boy’s mother expressed outrage, saying her son had the phone for only two days and was supposed to use it for an exam. She vowed to have the device blocked.

Barangay personnel are assisting the victim and his family in filing a complaint with the Taguig police. The Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) desk and the Taguig City Social Welfare and Development Office are also providing counseling support.
