The Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) has expelled suspended Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo from the party following complaints of her alleged involvement in the raided Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) hub in the town.

NPC Chairman Vicente “Tito” Sotto III confirmed Guo’s removal in a letter released on Sunday, stating, “In view thereof, I will be directing our Secretary General, Sec. Mark Llandro Mendoza to implement the said order and immediately inform Mayor Guo of her removal from the party.”

This decision was prompted by a petition from Tarlac Governor Susan Yap filed on June 17. The call to expel Guo was initially suggested by NPC member Senator Sherwin Gatchalian.

On Friday, authorities filed a complaint against Guo for alleged human trafficking related to the illegal POGO hub. The raid in March led to the rescue of over 800 Filipinos and foreigners from the Bamban POGO hub.

Despite the allegations, Guo has denied any involvement in the illegal POGO operations.
