Actress Beauty Gonzalez shared her journey of overcoming generational trauma and breaking the cycle for her daughter, Olivia, during an interview on Fast Talk With Boy Abunda.

Reflecting on her childhood, Beauty revealed experiencing both verbal and physical violence at home. However, she expressed compassion and understanding for her mother, saying, “It wasn’t her fault.”

“It took me time to realize kasi siyempre, hindi ko naiintindihan bakit ako, bakit ganito ginagawa niya. Eh wala naman ako nung time na ginagawa ng parents niya sa kaniya,” Beauty said.

Her experiences motivated her to ensure a different upbringing for her daughter.

“I have to stop it with Olivia and that’s my challenge every day kasi it’s not like a one-night thing na nawawala eh. Buong buhay mo ‘yan nadadala eh, so it takes time talaga,” she explained.

Despite her painful past, Beauty has forgiven her mother and now focuses on creating positive memories with her. She praised her mom’s strong work ethic, which she says she inherited.

“Growing up, lagi siyang nasa work. Bina-value niya ‘yung work. Nakikita ko ‘yon,” Beauty shared. “I love to work, like dapat balance ‘yung family and work for me.”

Beauty is married to art curator Norman Crisologo, with whom she shares her only child, Olivia. The actress is also returning for another season of Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis, alongside Senator Bong Revilla.
