Carlos Edriel Yulo has secured spots in the finals of three events at the 2024 Paris Olympics gymnastics competition. Yulo will compete in the all-around, vault, and floor exercise finals.

The Paris Olympics official website confirmed Yulo’s advancement to the final rounds of these events on Sunday.

Yulo scored a total of 83.631 in the qualification round, placing ninth overall and earning a spot in the all-around finals, which are reserved for the top 24 gymnasts.

In the vault event, Yulo scored 14.683, finishing sixth overall, a feat he also achieved during the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. For the floor exercise, he scored 14.766, coming in second behind Great Britain’s Jake Jarman, who scored 14.966. Gymnasts must place in the top eight of each apparatus to qualify for the finals.

The all-around finals are set for July 31, while the floor exercise finals will take place on August 3. The vault finals are scheduled for August 4.

On Sunday, Emma Malabuyo, Aleah Finnegan, and Levi Ruivivar will begin their campaigns in women’s gymnastics.
