Catriona Gray, the 2018 Miss Universe winner, has always cherished the art of road tripping, a passion rooted in her upbringing in Australia. In a recent conversation with the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Gray opened up about her year-long partnership with Sailun Tire through Luxuriant Marketing, her affection for scenic drives, and her collaboration with actor Alden Richards.

Gray recounted the difference in lifestyle when she first moved to the Philippines to pursue her career in pageantry and showbiz. Initially without a personal vehicle, she faced the hustle of navigating through the city for various events, a challenge that made her appreciate even more the convenience and comfort a car could offer. “When I finally got a car, I felt like I had an extension of my home, where I could rest,” she shared.

Despite her busy schedule, Gray still finds solace in driving, especially when accompanied by friends on day trips and out-of-town stays. Among her dream destinations is a return trip to Batad in Ifugao province, a place she first visited with her mother and has since longed to share with her friends.

The campaign with Sailun Tire, a global tire supplier for commercial and passenger vehicles, brought her together with Alden Richards, a collaboration she described as both “super easy and chill.” Gray praised the production team and Richards for their professionalism and the ease of working together, even recounting a light-hearted moment when she nearly slipped off a car’s hood during the shoot.

Looking forward, Gray expressed openness to future projects with Richards, indicating her willingness to explore any opportunities that arise. Her story reflects not only her journey from her roots in Australia to her life in the Philippines but also her evolving career that bridges beauty, entertainment, and brand partnerships.
