The Cebu Provincial Government and the League of Municipal Municipalities-Cebu Chapter give recognition to incumbent officials of Cebu Province for having worked closely together this most challenging term, enabling Cebu to respond, recover, and now move on from the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and Typhoon Odette.
Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia hosted a gratitude dinner Friday night, June 24, 2022 to honor the city and provincial mayors, congressmen, and board members for their service to the Cebuanos and all their help and support to her administration.
According to Sugbo News in their Facebook post that the event specially aimed to thank these officials for all their unified efforts in Cebu’s battle against the challenges brought by the pandemic, typhoon Odette, and ASF threat.
“We did not only survive all the challenges. But we prevailed,” said the reelected governor in her speech.
During the last challenging three years, Garcia said Cebu has proven that it is “truly a model of leadership and excellence” especially during the country’s most trying times.
