Charlie Fleming and Kira Balinger may have gone viral for their “beauty queen exit” from Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition, but according to the two, the pageant-like moment wasn’t exactly planned.
In their guesting on Unang Hirit, Kira explained the now-trending moment — where she and Charlie held hands and bowed their heads while awaiting eviction results — wasn’t choreographed.
“Actually, hindi po talaga namin pinag-isipan ‘yun. Nangyari lang talaga,” she said with a laugh.
But she did admit they had a goal if they were going to be sent home: they wanted to look fabulous doing it.
“Our goal talaga was to look good — so even if we walk out, we know we look amazing.”
The duo became the second pair evicted from the reality show after receiving the lowest save votes at 29.99%. Their graceful and poised exit reminded viewers of beauty queens awaiting the crown — and instantly became meme-worthy online.
Kira, who revealed her longtime interest in joining beauty pageants, shared her admiration for Miss Universe Philippines Michelle Dee, who guested on the show.
“To live with Ate MMD, as iconic as she is, was such a huge blessing. I learned so much from her,” Kira said. “Sobrang talino, sobrang bait — nakakakilig talaga!”
Since their exit, Shuvee Entrata and Xyriel Manabat have entered the house and new duo partners were reshuffled among the remaining housemates.
Meanwhile, the first evictees, Ashley Ortega and AC Bonifacio, sparked buzz with their own contrasting reactions — one dramatic, the other completely chill — which also trended online.
