Dave Ildefonso is set to join Strong Group Athletics for its upcoming Jones Cup campaign next month in Taiwan. The team announced this development on Saturday.
New Chapter for Ildefonso
The Filipino import recently played with the KBL team Suwon KT Sonicboom. In a statement, Ildefonso expressed his enthusiasm for joining Strong Group Athletics, saying, “My top priority in joining SGA is to help the team, which is being handled by one of my friends in Ateneo, Jacob (Lao), win the championship in any way possible. Representing the country is always a privilege, and I intend to make the most of an opportunity like this.”
Previous Engagements
Ildefonso last played for Gilas Pilipinas in the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers. His addition to Strong Group Athletics will see him reunited with former Ateneo de Manila University teammate Ange Kouame, with whom he won the UAAP Season 85 men’s basketball crown.
