A 20-year-old beneficiary waiting in line for financial assistance at the Marikina Sports Complex died on Monday, according to city police reports.
The Marikina City Police Station said the young man, a delivery rider, lost consciousness while waiting for his ayuda, as reported by Super Radyo dzBB’s Sam Nielsen.
He was immediately taken to the Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center at around 4:20 p.m., but was declared dead by 9 p.m.
The hospital ruled his cause of death as “natural.”
The incident was formally reported to authorities on Tuesday morning, prompting an ongoing investigation.
