Diana Zubiri has issued another apology to former Mandaluyong Mayor Benjamin Abalos Jr. for her controversial FHM shoot on the EDSA crossing flyover in October 2002.
In Tuesday’s episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” the “Encantadia” actress expressed her gratitude and respect for Abalos, seeking to bring closure to the long-standing issue.
“To Mayor Abalos, forever po akong thankful at sorry na,” she said.
Diana reminisced that the FHM shoot was a dare from her manager, which she accepted on the condition that he would buy her a phone with a camera, specifically a Nokia 7650.
Following the shoot on October 29, 2002, Abalos filed a grave scandal case against Diana and the FHM team. However, he later withdrew the case after Diana’s apology.
Earlier this month, Diana sold a collection of four FHM magazines, including the one with the controversial EDSA flyover photo, to Boss Toyo for P23,404.
Now based in Australia, Diana lives with her husband Andy Smith and their three children
Diana appeared on the GMA afternoon talk show alongside her close friends and fellow actresses, Maui Taylor and Aubrey Miles.
