MANILAMiguel Padlan, son of Dr. Mike Padlan, has spoken out in defense of his father following Kris Aquino’s public revelation that their relationship ended because the surgeon “did not love her.”

In a Facebook post two days after Aquino’s statement, Miguel refuted claims that his father never loved the media personality, urging the public to stop spreading “false stories” and “baseless narratives.”

‘My Father Truly Loved Her’

“The truth is simple—yes, my father and Mama Kris separated because the spark between them was gone. However, that does not mean my father never loved her. He truly did,” Miguel wrote.

He explained that love alone is not always enough to sustain a relationship and that sometimes, two people are simply not meant to be together.

Sacrifices for Kris

Miguel also shared that Dr. Padlan made numerous sacrifices to be with Kris, often traveling to the U.S. despite financial and professional setbacks.

“My father gave so much of his time and energy to her, even at the cost of his own well-being. There were times when he had little to no money left and was losing patients at his clinic, yet he still chose to be with her,” he said.

Despite this, Miguel emphasized that his father never asked for money or gifts from Kris, stating that any financial support was given out of the host-actress’ generosity.

A Plea for Truth

Miguel said he could no longer stand by and let his father’s name be tarnished with “false accusations and misleading narratives.” He also revealed that Dr. Padlan would soon be leaving the country to take care of his ailing aunt.

Despite defending his father, Miguel still expressed respect for Kris, acknowledging that Dr. Padlan truly loved her. However, he urged the actress-host to stop spreading misleading stories.

“We love you, Mama Kris, and we love our father as well. Family is family. That is why I am here—to support my father and stand by my family,” Miguel concluded.

As of now, Dr. Mike Padlan has yet to issue a public statement regarding their breakup.
