Olympic bronze medalist Eumir Marcial is set to live out a lifelong dream—sharing the ring card with boxing legend Manny Pacquiao. The 29-year-old Filipino boxer will face American Alexis Gaytan in an eight-round middleweight non-title bout on July 19 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Marcial, inspired by Pacquiao since childhood, expressed excitement about the opportunity. “It was my dream to always fight on the same card as Manny Pacquiao,” he shared.
Marcial earned a bronze medal at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics and competed again in Paris 2024, though he didn’t reach the podium. As a pro, Marcial holds a 5-0 record with three knockouts. His last bout was in March 2023 in the Philippines, where he scored a fourth-round KO against Thailand’s Thoedsak Sinam.
His opponent, 30-year-old Alexis Gaytan, enters the fight with a 17-10 record and six knockouts.
Marcial has joined Pacquiao’s training camp in the U.S., alongside fellow Filipino fighters Jerwin Ancajas, Mark Magsayo, and Jonas Sultan.
