Julian McMahon, known for his iconic roles in Fantastic Four, Nip/Tuck, and Charmed, has died at the age of 56 following a private fight with cancer.
Deadline reported that the Australian actor passed away on July 2 in Clearwater, Florida. His wife, Kelly McMahon, confirmed the news in a heartfelt statement, saying Julian “died peacefully” after a courageous battle with the disease.
“Julian loved life. He loved his family, his friends, his fans, and his work,” Kelly shared. “His greatest wish was to bring joy into as many lives as possible.”
The family is requesting privacy during this time and encourages those touched by Julian’s work to continue finding joy in life.
Julian is survived by his wife Kelly and daughter Madison. He was also the son of former Australian Prime Minister Billy McMahon, who served from 1971 to 1972.
McMahon’s career spanned television and film, with standout performances as Dr. Christian Troy in Nip/Tuck, Cole Turner in Charmed, and the villainous Dr. Doom in the early 2000s Fantastic Four films.
