
The 19th season of Ang Liga, the prestigious football league, concluded on a high note with the support of FPJ Panday Bayanihan. On November 4, 2023, the finale featured a championship clash between two football giants, Adamson University and Ateneo De Manila University. In a thrilling showdown, Adamson claimed a 2-0 victory, firmly establishing their position as the nation’s premier football institution.
This season was full of exceptionally talented teams, including Ateneo De Manila University, De La Salle University, College of San Beda, University of Santo Tomas, Far Eastern University, De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, University of the Philippines, University of the East, and the victorious Adamson University. Notably, the defending champions, De La Salle University, displayed their football prowess, but it was Adamson University that emerged as the champions of the season.

Ang Liga’s 19th Season marked a significant milestone as it embraced live streaming for the first time. With support from FPJ Panday Bayanihan Foundation, Pantheon Holdings, and Smart Sports, the league not only showcased top-tier football talent but also achieved an unprecedented viewership record, with more than 600,000 views for its Season 19 matches.
Another standout for this season was the involvement of Brian Poe Llamanzares, Chairman of FPJ Panday Bayanihan, as a key sponsor of Ang Liga. Brian’s active support significantly contributed to the tournament’s success and growth.
Brian expressed his enthusiasm for the league, stating, “We’re looking forward to growing the league even more thanks to our sponsors and supporters! Congratulations to all the teams that participated in this fantastic season. Karl Tan, Director of Operations for Ang Liga, also expressed his thoughts on the season, sharing, “This season, Ang Liga was brought to a different level. Having been able to play in this tournament in 2003, I can say that the participants are very lucky to have been given this platform.
