LeBron James of USA celebrates with teammates after United States wins the gold medal game at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
PARIS – LeBron James, who played a crucial role in the United States’ victory over France in the men’s basketball gold medal game on Saturday, has said he cannot envision himself participating in the next Summer Olympics in Los Angeles in 2028.
When asked if he would consider playing in the next Olympics on US soil, the 39-year-old star responded, “No, I can’t see myself playing in L.A., but I also didn’t see myself playing in Paris. Four years from now, no, I can’t see myself (playing at the Olympics).”
James, the LA Lakers star and one of the greatest basketball players of all time, contributed 14 points, six rebounds, 10 assists, and two steals in the game against France.
The Olympic title in Paris marks James’ third Olympic gold.
