President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. announced that the opening of the Grand Westside Hotel in Parañaque City is expected to generate significant job opportunities in the country. During the ceremonial opening of the 19-story hotel along Manila Bay, Marcos highlighted the positive economic impact of the new development.
Economic and Employment Benefits
“We foresee not only the entry of more tourists but also the generation of more jobs, of new businesses, and of greater opportunity,” Marcos stated. He added that while many have already benefited from the construction of the hotel, an estimated 20,000 direct and indirect jobs will be created during its operation.
Boost to Tourism
The President also emphasized the potential boost to tourism. “Not only can we accommodate the resurging number of local and international tourists coming to this side of Metro Manila, but we can also expect our Entertainment City to become better known and even more distinguished, elevating its status to more potential visitors in the coming years,” he said.
Hotel Features
The Grand Westside Hotel, developed and managed by Megaworld Corporation, features 1,530 rooms and is part of the integrated tourism estate and entertainment complex, dubbed as the “Philippines’ biggest hotel.”
